I sincerely doubt that Rosie has any idea what living under a socialist or communist regime is really like. I know the concept of seizing the assets of a private company appears to have merit on the surface (but only to those incapable of thinking it through), but once you’re on the slippery slope of ceding all authority to a government, you’re doomed.
Which is exactly why we wrote Pursuing Liberty, which profiles those who escaped tyranny to come to the US for opportunity and a chance at liberty. If these avant garde Hollywood socialists bothered to understand what real tyranny is like, they wouldn’t be making such bone-headed suggestions. Would Rosie give up her gay, cushy lifestyle to live in, say, Iran? I don’t think they tolerate the homosexual lifestyle much. Or mouthy women, for that matter.
I think we’d have no problem raising the airfare if these geniuses really promised to go live in some socialist workers paradise. I’m in for a buck...
