Obama has apparently confirmed what many have suspected since the presidential campaign: that he is a Muslim, not a “committed Christian,” as he professed during the presidential campaign.
The periodical Israel Today has reported that in a private meeting with the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Obama told Gheit that he is a Muslim. The exchange was aired on Nile TV.

And with the Democrats in charge of the electoral process, he has a good chance of being re-elected if there is an election or selection held in 2012 but first we have to get past 2010 and it is a long way until November.
Atheist may be a bit strong. I suspect he's more of an agnostic, or even more likely, someone with a vague idea about God but doesn't want to live with the restrictions that any actual religion might place on him.
But this idea about him being Muslim is so absurd, I can't believe anyone takes it seriously.
There are too many idiots around here whose grasp of logic is so poor, they find the following argument persuasive:
Obama bad.
Muslims bad
Ergo Obama=Muslim.
I get more and more dissapointed with this place every day.
Why?
His father was a muslim.
His step father was a muslim.
He was raised as a muslim.
He says he converted from islam to Christianity but no price was placed on his head.

It takes a certain amount of humility to be an agnostic. One has to admit there are things one doesn’t know. I’ve never seen a hint of humility in Obama. Rather, I see the arrogant sophomore who knows it all, and doesn’t mind admitting it. Fwiw.

For someone who claims not to be an Obama supporter... he has made many excuses for Obama’s actions. He also has cast multiple dispersions and made other negative remarks about his fellow Freepers. I think people should realize that his remarks follow a certain pattern and that they should not let him hurt their feelings. One definately gets the feeling that he thinks he is better than the rest of us. A small sampling of his comments follow:

True. On the other hand, as William James once noted, it takes a lot of and backbone to be atheist. I don't think he's got it.
In light of this, I'd say he's probably neither an atheist nor an agnostic. Like many people of his social class, he's unwilling to give up on the idea of God, but he's also unwilling to submit himself to the rules of any organized religion.
In other words, he wants the comfort of religion without any of the rigor. He's sort of a half-baked theist for who simply doesn't take religion very seriously.
Here is why I think Obama is a hardcore atheist: his ongoing macabre and stomach-turning support of partial birth abortion, and the strong stand he took for placing a baby who had survived partial birth abortion in with the dirty laundry, to die of hypothermia and dehydration. No man with even a scintilla of suspicion that a just God might possibly exist could champion such causes. Fear of judgment would override PC; the survival instinct is very strong.
