Cal apparently had an issue with the Pac-10 inviting Baylor due to its religious affiliation (Baptists?). What would you expect its opinion about inviting a school owned by the LDS Church would be, especially after the Prop 8 vote?

That and Baylor’s academic rep isn’t exactly on a level congruent with what the Pac-10 wants to do.
The only real reason why Tech and Baylor are in the Big XII is because of Texas. If they hadn’t followed along when the SWC died they would be in either the MWC or the C-USA.
