It all proved just too much for some Twilight fans last night at the Eclipse premiere in downtown Rome. Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart were besieged by their legions of fans, some overcome with emotion at the chance to be in the same vicinity as their big screen idols. There was no sign of Stewart's on and off screen love interest, Robert Pattinson - he's currently working on Water For Elephants, his next movie project with Reese Witherspoon - but the crowds weren't disappointed, making do with the two other stars.

I worked with three 40 year old women who were wrapped up in this whole Twilight series. They would go home, read the book, then discuss it the WHOLE day at work. Politics, current events, they had absolutely no interest in. Thank goodness these people didn’t vote.
Okay, I had to look it up. “Twilight” looks like a cross between “90210” and “The Lost Boys”. Have I got that right?
Never read or seen the book but yeah and throw in a bastardized version of Wuthering Heights.
