Yeah, no one is on it, no updates or posts, and most of us don’t like that we lose our anonymity when joining. You can join, but there’s no activity.

There was no, I repeat NO way I was signing up there under my real name.

You must be looking at one of the fan pages. The group page there has over 1000 members and is pretty active. (Listed as “free republic on Facebook”)

Yeah, I got that. I did a search when I couldn’t get onto FR on Monday,mainly out of desperation in not being able to get my daily FR fix. I don’t know what was going on but I kept getting a “connection has timed out” message (I use Firefox).Now that I got my FR back,I don’t see the need to go to a page that’s really just a waste of space.I am home!
