Frank had a long nap. I went and go my hair cut, took a shower, and then put all the new patches on Bill’s and Tom’s uniforms. They had a Court of Awards last night.

Court of Awards, eh? Do we have an Eagle Scout, yet?
No, not yet. It was a whole-troop award ceremony, getting their badges from summer camp and other awards. Bill’s friend Malcolm got a World Conservation award - a purple badge with a panda on it. We did that with Cub Scouts when Bill was little, but they have to do it again as Boy Scouts if they want a panda on their brown uniform ;-).
Bill has two more Eagle-required badges to complete, and then his Eagle Project. He wants to go to a high-adventure camp next summer, instead of the regular troop summer camp, and DP says he needs to finish Eagle first. As I’ve said before, some parents want their boys to have their Eagle awards before they get a driver’s license, but I want another driver again!
Tom has three or four badges to complete, as well as some leadership time (they’re both patrol leaders this fall) and a project. He might finish around the same time as Bill, if he pushes himself.
Sorry to hear that. Mine has relaxed finally, though it certainly had good reasons today!
But I managed to dodge a chairmanship position. Now sitting in the airport, waiting to go home.

It’s raining here. We offloaded hazmat (and about 300 life jackets, and some CBR gear, and a bunch of nasty fiberglass-looking ‘migrant blankets.’) Also a cat has moved onbase. I saw it yesterday evening. The OOD went out and tried to give it bits of pork chop, but it didn’t like her and ran away. I expect the seagulls ate the meat. They’ve been everywhere. There are fish guts in various places on the pier, and feathers.
My flight is, as far as I can tell, still supposed to be underway. I got a ride to the airport. I have duty Thursday, so I can pack then. That way all I have to do on Friday when I get off work is do laundry and lock up all my things. Also, I put more money on my phone and bought a new charger for it.
So apparently my new computer has been sitting in SK stores in the base warehouse for the past two weeks. I got one of the storekeepers on the boat to look in to it. He says I should get it tomorrow sometimes, when he goes over to the warehouse again.
