The disclosure. If the recording was made in accordance with the laws of the state (I do not see that the Feds have any constitutional mandate in this--though an amendment establishing the privacy rights of Americans would probably be a good idea), then what is done with the tape is the business of the owner. Even if that includes disclosing distasteful remarks.
If the recording was against the law, then we deal with that and not hand-wring about the rest.
You didn’t answer me. Do you think it is ok if someone (your lover, your wife, whoever) records an intimate moment and then broadcasts it to the world? I don’t care what the particular law in your state says. Those can be changed, based on what the citizenry deems correct. What do YOU think. That is what I asked. I believe it has gotten out of hand, and I do NOT believe it is an First Amendment issue.
