Tim Foley, 20, left, and his brother leave federal court after a bail hearing for their parents, Donald Heathfield and Tracey Lee Ann Foley, in Boston, on Thursday, July 1, 2010, who are among 11 people accused of trying to infiltrate U.S. policymaking circles

Pereverzeva has instructed a family friend now caring for the children to contact her family in Russia and make arrangements for the tots to go home to the motherland.

Tots??? They look to be about 12 and 14 or so. Hardly tots. Were they born here or in Russia? If here then maybe this will set a precedent to get other anchor babies back to their motherland.

I feel sorry for these kids. Sad. They look clean cut and normal.

Who will take care of them if their parents remain in prison? Do they have extended families in Russia they have never met? Are they all American citizens?

U.S. immigration officials have declined to comment on the children's' status, citing privacy rules, but note that any person born in the United States is a citizen by right, except in certain cases involving the children of diplomats or other foreign government workers.

No,no,no.

Don't tell me we have actual employees of the United States Government who are going to argue that these kids are birthright American citizens! BTW, aren't spies usually later deemed to be diplomats? Or at least "government workers"?

At the very least they are illegal aliens, or should I say "undocumented immigrants".

I feel sorry for these kids, but their parents must be some committed commies to actually use kids this way to establish their creds.

Is there any indication of whether the kids ever knew about their parents activities and false lives? I’d presume not. That makes for a hell of a shock... gotta feel sorry for these guys. Suddenly they have to go live in a country they have no connection to.

Oh come on. These children probably had nothing to do with their parents spying. Any charges by O’s Justice Dept is questionable at best.

Tim Foley, a 20-year-old student at George Washington University, wrote on a blog that he was born in Toronto and grew up in Paris and Boston. Now his true birth country has been called into question. Prosecutors say they have evidence the family is actually Russian.”

Poor little child

Whoa! Yes, it says 20 which makes the “tots” even more ridiculous. Are you sure the age isn’t a typo? He doesn’t look like he’s old enough to shave.

I know. There's a lot of guys in college, though, who barely have anything to shave (I, on the other hand, had a beard in high school and was always getting in trouble for lack of shaving). We refer to the college kids who work in our lab as "the children."

Now I understand this seemingly innocuous (and espionage-free)
infiltration from Russia.

They were hoping to raise more Democrats/Socialists in the USA.
And the faked-ID parents were probably voting Democrat at each election.

Talk about a “soft invasion”!
