Oh, how I would love to wish you all a happy Independence Day.

That's the name for this holiday, by the way, Americans. It's not just the Fourth of July. It's not just the day we shoot off Chinese-made fireworks. It's not just the day we barbecue burgers. It's not just the day we go to the beach. It's Independence Day – so named because on or about this date in 1776, a group of courageous men risked their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor for a dream of freedom and sweet autonomy from an imperial power.

Happy Birthday America!
Does anyone have a copy of Limabugh’s father’s essay he wrote about the founding fathers? (I think it was Limbaugh’s father.) I seem to remember him reading it years ago, very moving and informative.)

The best part of my weekend so far was the look on the faces of folks on the Democrat party parade float when the crowd started chanting “impeach Obama”

Sparklers are about the only thing "allowed" in Oregon, anymore. Meat's bad for you...ask the FDA, and barbeques are destroying the planet. Can't go out in the sun without slathering yourself in SPF 45 sunscreen....but have a Happy Fourth of July.

Our Parrish Priest, Fr. Mcsweeney gave an excellent Homily today about this very subject.

Where was this at? I think people need to remember to add "and convict" they forgot that last time.

Good for Fr McSweeney. Our priest told us we have not shared fairly blessings granted to us, blessings we’ve hardly deserved. That we need to keep some balance in our national pride. (DUH!)

Northwest of Indpls - solidly Republican
