What was the place Clemenza wanted to meet at when he was here during his foolish attempt to live in Seattle? It was closed, and we ended up at John’s on Bleecker Street. No slices. They made fun of me for wanting anchovies . . . I never forget things like that LOL.

By the way, I had a fantastic mini-Nicoise pizza at a French place called Cafe de Soleil, on Broadway between 104th and 105th. It is expensive and crowded at dinnertime, but at lunch and between lunch and dinner, it is a different story. Delightful real French stuffs and an outdoor cafe with trees. If the crust had been crispy, it would have rated 100% but it was the soggy kind. Still excellent.
