Obviously that is a huge galaxy. Is that a quasar on the lower right? The thing is so bright it is burning up the film/ccd.
That entire image at the top is the center of our own galaxy from xray telescopes. The bright red thing I believe is Sagatarus A (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sagittarius_A*) which some view as a ‘black hole’, assuming they believe in black holes...
