Darth Vader Banned From 'Star Wars' Party

Dave Prowse, who wore the Darth Vader costume in the first three 'Star Wars' films, has been banned from the forthcoming Lucas Film Star Wars Celebration party in Orlando, Florida. Not only that, he's been told his presence won't be welcome at any Lucas Film/Star Wars-related events.

There could be a reason, though, seeing as Uncle George is probably fuming at the comments Prowse recently made to SlashFilm about not receiving any residual payment for 'Return of the Jedi' -- because it didn't make a profit(!):

I am also sick of him soaking us with endless re-releases. “Ooooh I put in an extra alien here and there and totally ruined the end of Jedi; now you all have to buy the set again! Muahahahaha!”

He actually has a number of videos, criticizes Star Trek films as well. Latest one he talks about “Baby’s Day Off” ??

William Shatner said in an interview that according to Desi-Lu productions, the original Star Trek series still hasn't turned a profit. One of the reasons it took so long to do the first Star Trek movie was because the actors, particularly Leonard Nimoy, held out for enough money to compensate for being stiffed out of the royalties all those years.

On the subject of the thread, Lucas has been a dick forever. He recut the scene in Return of the Jedi where Vader is unmasked, using a different actor, because Prowse had mentioned that his face would finally be seen.

All that said, James Earl Jones did the voice, so any tall actor could have played Vader. He was essentially a special effect before there were real special effects.

Lucas ripped off the comic book series The New Gods to create the original Star Wars series, and of course, the original Doctor Doom. Just about all of those movies were ripped off from Jack Kirby. Let's see. Dr. Doom's face was damaged so badly he wore a mask and you never saw his face. In the New Gods, Darkseid (pronounced Dark Side) was ruler of the planet Apocalypse, while New Genesis was protected by a young God named Orion. It was later revealed that Orion was actually Darkseid's son.

Lucas is a dick and a rip off artist.

Actually, looking at that image, if they kept Prowse’s face in Return of the Jedi instead of Sebastian Shaw when Vader was unmasked, he would have looked a LOT like Dark Helmet.
