Yeah, I think he’s being scammed. This was planned for a long time.
If he doesn’t have a history of this kind of stuff, I think it’s unlikely he’d start now.
I have not condemned this man and have had suspicions. He is rich and he made a movie that upset HOLLYWOOD intensely. They never forgave him for that....setup? Possibly.....
Mel is a complete jerk, an alcoholic with serious psychiatric problems. I pray for him; I think he’s been under attack by Satan since he created The Passion of the Christ.
That said, I can certainly believe that his wife never experienced any violence at his hands. It sounds as though, without her, he has had a nervous breakdown. I suppose it might drive a man mad to know that he has destroyed his family and his career, and lost half a billion dollars, because of his complete stupidity over a woman who turned out to be a golddigging whore. Wouldn’t be the first time.
I once knew a very sweet and gentle man who, after a lifetime of stability and highly responsible behavior, suffered a complete mental breakdown and for a period did a number of awful things. He received psychiatric care and has never done anything wrong since. But it was harrowing for his wife and family while he was going nuts.
She probably agrees with Mel that ‘babies mamma’ “deserved” a punch in the mouth; not that I would blame her if she did.

Gibson was married to Robyn for like 25 years, had 7 kids with her. Given he has been in Hollywood for such a long time, and has therefore seen what Hollywood is all about - its really dumbfounding to me why he would give up his family for what was clearly an unstable relationship with this Russian bird.

If he admitted to punching her, then he probably made the outburst that she released. It is quite dramatic if you have not heard it. I would like to know the mechanism, i.e. exactly how it was recorded. If it’s not a phone message, and it is not; how did she set it up and did someone help her?
Why do successful men fall for something as trivial as sex in a way that ruins their reputation, legacy and hurts their family? It’s not like he could not get it on the side, discretely. People close may look the other way. Not so with Spitzer and Morris; but they are political figures. Hollywood as in Europe is full of willing mistresses. Gibson is a political figure in a way, so he should expect to be outed for having a mistress, but so what? It would cause less damage than this. Come on Mel.
Not saying I don't believe her testimony, but that I do not doubt which side of her bread contains the refined salted dairy product. ;)

According to sources connected with Mel, on January 6, 2010, Mel and Oksana were arguing at home when Oksana took baby Lucia, ran around the backyard, threw herself on the ground, came back inside the house and began shaking Lucia like a ragdoll. Mel followed and the sources acknowledge there was physical contact, but insist Mel did not punch her and was just trying to protect the baby.
Mel found out that the grass may be greener and younger but there is a lot of bullcr@p used to fertilize that lawn. You can put up with the smell and stench when you are younger but later you find you can’t tolerate it no matter how much you hold your nose.

Didn’t Mel and Robyn have at least eight children together? That’s quite a brood and the marriage succeeded for a long time without any incident I recall.
Oksana alleges past abuse where her teeth were knocked out or something, yet I would think in today’s world this would not have escaped attention. It would have leaked to the Hollywood spies.
I also question Oksana’s setup, deliberately staging and recording her phone calls with Mel, unknown to him. I intensely hate that kind of dishonesty and sneakiness. It has been noted he goes quiet several times, but she eggs him on.
Mel has been very, very successful in the movie business and obviously rich, rich, rich. Oksana knew this going in, eh. So, making the custody battle into more than it is gives her the possibility of a higher settlement. Just sayin’...
I’ve kept quiet about the flurry of sensational tapes, but skeptical all the way. I’m not ready to give up “Braveheart” and Mel’s other stellar accomplishments. With his wife in his corner, maybe things will come around in his favor and I’d love to see some of the nitwits from ET bite their tongues off.
His people may well NOW deny that he punched her; HE HIMSELF was recorded agreeing that he did so, and assessing the situation after the fact as her being deserving of a punch to the mouth that broke her teeth while she was holding their baby.
Please understand, I am in no way denying that Mel is a racist, a sexist, and a jerk. And he’s sure not being a good witness for his Catholic faith. You can’t tell me he’s been to confession in the past couple of years.
