Is this a trick question? I believe that “freshman teams” and “freshman coaches” went out when the NCAA ruled that “student athletes” (sarcasm/off) may play varsity sports for all four years.

Actually now, I was wondering who the Freshman and JV coaches are? Or are they just coaches assistance? Someone has to lead the incoming freshman don’t they?

OK, thanks. I did not know that. Out here USC made such a big deal of Matt as a freshman plying varsity and so many players going to college ball, I did not realize they all went to “varsity”.
