America the Right Way-Staying Vigilant!30 months left July 19-23,2010

Good evening.

Really out of touch here with the news, but in talking with some relatives last week about the current mess we find ourselves in, and wondering how we could advance and accelerate O's fall in popularity, it occurred to us to get folks to think about their standard of living, past, present, and likely future if O & the Dems continue to run the country.

Most people get used to their habits, the things big and small they count on or would like to count on if they had more success and a little extra money in their pockets.

But...O and the Left are fond of a little, but important phrase: We Americans consume too much of the world's resources.

Now what exactly do they mean by that??? Hmmm.....Could it, could it just mean we should have less money to spend, do without the "extras" we like to have??? Depend on the government to make the choices for us???

Is that what the Left means?? Is that what the American public really wants???

Is that the Hope and Change O promised???

Yes and yes.

Is that what the Left means??Yes.

Is that what the American public really wants???

"Baaaaa, where's the closest public tit? baaaaa...."(/sheeple imitation)

Is that the Hope and Change O promised???

Yes, indeed, to anybody not blinded by the cynicism of liberalism and with two brain cells to rattle together.

Tasty decorations:

Chocolate Truffles

For Truffles:  Place the chopped chocolate in a medium sized stainless steel bowl. Set aside.  Heat the cream and butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil.  Immediately pour the boiling cream over the chocolate and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Stir with a whisk until smooth.  If desired, add the liqueur. Cover and place in the refrigerator until the truffle mixture is firm (this will take several hours or overnight).

Place your coatings for the truffles on a plate. Remove the truffle mixture from the refrigerator. With your hands, or else a melon baller or small spoon form the chocolate into round or mis-shaped bite-sized balls. Immediately roll the truffle in the coating and place on a parchment lined baking sheet or tray. Cover and place in the refrigerator until firm. Truffles can be refrigerated for a couple of weeks or else frozen for a couple of months. Bring to room temperature before serving.

Makes 30 small truffles.

To Toast Nuts: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C) and bake nuts (pecans, walnuts or almonds) about 8 - 10 minutes or until brown and fragrant. For hazelnuts toast about 15 minutes or until the skins start to blister. Remove from oven and roll in a clean dish towel. Let the nuts 'steam' for about 5 minutes and then remove the skins. Once the nuts have cooled, chop coarsely.

Good morning, woke up, put one foot on the floor, drew it back and fell back to sleep...second time succeeded. Tired for some reason but this think it is a case of being lazy..

Almost time to fix me ‘sumtin ta eat’, have plenty of eggs, no bread for toast, lots and lots of grits and a couple slices of cheese, maybe a couple over the latter will do.

lysie, the kids have found my hiding place for my candy I keep for them, all three of us had a ‘meeting of the minds’
yesterday, they promised to be honest with me and stay out of the stash. Got to keep a promise I made with them, stock more tasty drinks for them in the fridge. Looked like a board meeting as they sat on the floor and me in my chair, cute as bugs on a peach.

They are saying we will rain also, right now not so bad outside, that will change shortly.

I have got to get to Walmart, kids going camping (in a travel trailer) next week and out of most everything. I am not going, like my ‘shack in the back’ and MY bed, funny how a person gets in love with their bed.

lysie, watching the boys grow, seems like so fast. learning to swim (the little one) and loves it. Got to get my baseball glove out and start teaching them how to play catch, etc.... want them to get them a BB gun but momma won't let me....yet, I am working on it being we live in the country and want to teach them to hunt....small things like bears, tigers, lions, you know what I am talking about.

To: Molly Pitcher; Two Thirds Vote Aye
I was just about to link that Ralph Peters article. I find it very encouraging. I am also reminded that the end of The Book clearly shows the devastation of the enemy and victory which is ours in Christ.

However, I am alarmed by the rise of islam. While I agree that Christianity is on the rise in many, many countries, I also have seen that islam is on the rise, too. I think this is largely in part of the failure of Christians to evangelize and present the forgiveness available to all in Jesus.

Brothers and Sisters, it isn't enough to live the Christian life, i.e. "walk the walk. You must also "talk the talk." It is akin to seeing a drowning person and jumping in the river to demonstrate how to swim. We have been given the duty to haul the drowner out of the river, to save them, and then to teach them how to swim so it won't happen again.

In plain english, some people cannot just watch our lives and see the way to Jesus. They must be told and taught. Evangelize vocally and live your lives at the same time in such a way that others give glory to God, the Father.

Back to islam, we must evangelize them, also. They need Christ and that is the only way their murderous belief can be stopped. To repeat a cliche, if not us, who? If not now, when?

Thanks, Jemian.

That reminds me...are you familiar with D.A. Carson? I've ordered and will soon be reading a book of his about spiritual reformation.

And that further reminds me that the church which I found 14 months ago and joined in Dec. has most probably found its new minister. The head of the search committee gave a report to the congregation yesterday announcing the news, explaining the procedures and events we'll be following in the days ahead, and it was so intentional and faith -full ..the news so welcome and needed... that I started to cry.

This congregation has been thru a lot, separating from a mainline church recently to remain true to doctrine and God's way.

Praise the Lord for the new pastor. It is hard, almost impossible, for a congregation to remain intact during a prolonged pastoral search. I am very happy for you.

No, I’m not familiar with D.A. Carson. I’m out of touch with so many trends. I’ve just now learned of a “new” pastor within our denomination, but he has written many best-sellers. It is obvious that the only person for whom he is new is me! I really need to get out more.
