The Senate is spoiling for a brannigan over the Berwick appointment. Who knew? ...after the rollover for Kagan, I thought they were playing dead.

Suitably attired. I had to clean up a Brannigan in my back yard this morning, though. Seems my sweet, lovable Labs cornered a bunny who happened into the yard. Bunny parts strewn everywhere and the chocolate had blood all over his muzzle.

After the vicious brannigan(1) in the office yesterday I think everyone will probably be out having a brannigan(2) tonight.

Obama, playing golf, starts a Brannigan
As he asks, once again, for a Mulligan
Too bad that it’s not our fate
To go back to oh-eight
And elect someone else, and just begin again

From the BBC:

Members of the Ubama Administration reportedly disagree about religion. Although the President’s stated policy is to exploit all religion for cheap votes, members of his staff have gone into a full-on Brannigan over which church to exploit.

Some members favor the Church of Saint Pancake, dedicated to the memory of Ms. Rachel Corrie. Supporters argue that the church has worldwide appeal, particularly among violent, Islamic extremists aged 25 - 39. This is the administration’s favored demographic.

A new group supports the Church of Saint Bigot. It was formed for Shirley Sherrod, whose career was martyred when she made the now famous “Cracker Speech.” Adherents argue that racists are more important to the administration’s policies and that St. Bigot is a local.

Protesters carrying signs in marches through the Eisenhower Office Building are common sights these days. Strife between the two factions has caused members to threaten each other with IRS audits and class action lawsuits. A brief shoving match arose when the sides argued over whom would Bill and Bernardine Ayers support. A federal mediator determined that each side can have one Ayers.

President Ubama said he really doesn’t care which side anyone supports because he doesn’t believe in religion and only uses it to get public sympathy.

End BBC parody.

As the man sat down at his usual booth for breakfast, the waitress approached him and inquired, “Sir, would you like bacon and eggs this morning?”

He sighed and answered, “No, I’m on a diet; I’ll just have the Brannigan.”
