Be at your local Marine Corps recruiting station at opening time Monday morning. They are very picky, for obvious reasons, but someone with gumption, a modicum of brains and a non Sad Sack attitude should be able to make the cut. My son did in '08 and makes $1750 a month with room and board on Uncle Sam.
Don't worry about all that Parris Island stuff. Untold thousands have made it out without being killed. You probably can, too!
