Moderate ready for a good ZOT!

Posted on 08/04/2010 5:05:03 AM PDT by Lizzie in Boston

I love living in the United States and love political debates!

We had an important senate election here and I proudly chose Scott Brown for senate because Martha Coakley was totally clueless and incompetent.

I looked at both candidates for president carefully. John McCain is a true military hero and even worked across the aisle on McCain-Feingold, McCain-Lieberman and McCain-Kennedy. Thry were three very good bills. However, McCain is anti-choice, anti-gay and too pro-gun.

Barack Obama was short on experience, but I liked his postions on many issues except for the middle east and he's not agressive enough on the war on terror.

I chose President Obama at the end and while he's far from perfect, I'm pleased with my choice.

I love politics and can't wait to get into it! :-) I'm new so be nice while I get used to this site!

Lizzie

xoxo

I still don’t get it on IBTZ. Please enlighten me. :-)

Stop being disingenuous. If you knew enough about Free Republic to join to debate conservatives, then you've lurked enough to know what a ZOT is. I see no need to waste further time.

...and too pro-gun.

So you are opposed to your personal ability to defend your life, liberty, and property? You would rather outsource that to someone else? If you don't have the fundamental right to defend even your own life, then what freedom do you really have? You outsource your liberty to others.

It is not stolen money. The bill was passed into law, fair and square.

You cannot be serious?

Ok, here's an analogy for you. Your neighbor has a history of shockingly bad decision-making. Let's say that she routinely sets fire to her house in a series of drunken binges.

The Mayor of your town is a friend of hers. He doubles property taxes and spends all that extra money fireproofing your neighbors' home. Plus he insists on hiring only union laborers that voted for him.

You needed that money to buy your children food. Now it's been spent bailing out your drunken pyromaniac neighbor AND to bolster your Mayors political career.

Question: was that money stolen from you, or was it 'fair and square'?

No, you're not. You're playing with us (just as we're playing with you). See, I'm being honest with you, but you can't level with us without blowing it.

Oh, well. You're stay is going to be very, very short.

“The stimulus has been a huge help here in Boston. The health care bill while far from perfect was a very good idea. I wish they would take out the mandates though”.

...this is what I’m talking about as your being “woefully uninformed”. The “stimulus” was designed strictly for re-election in 2010 and 2012 with a few bucks strewn about to make it look legit. The “mandates” are exactly what the bill was about. It is not about health care in the least. It’s about control. Which takes us full circle. You are either woefully uninformed or a Marxist. There really isn’t any other choice for an Obama voter.

Why not volunteer your time to help Governor Patrick get re-elected? If you live in Barney Frank’s district....he needs help too! Now off you go.

Lizzie, given everything Obama has done so far, if you’re still pleased with him, you are not moderate.

If you're pleased with Obama's performance so far, you may be insane. Or, you may be one of the millions of freeloading democrats that believe that they should benefit from the fruit of other peoples' labor.

What is it with democrats and slavery anyway?

I’m not about to be zotted.

That is rather arrogant and presumptious. Jim Robinson is the one to decide whether you will stay or not since it's his living room you made yourself comfortable in.

..is anti-choice

Those who are pro-life are not anti-choice, they believe that the person who is most effected by abortion should have the choice about their own life, that would be the child. No individual can own another's life, period. Parents are responsible for a child's life but they do not own it. That is one of the fundamental foundations of Conservatism, your right to own your own life. Someone else doesn't have the right to 'choice' over anyone else's fundamental rights.

Hiya Lizzie!

How is the dairy biz(Borden) doing?

Lizzie Borden took an axe
And gave her mother forty whacks.
When she saw what she had done
She gave her father forty-one.

Is it your birthday? I know you were born in 1860. 150 years old!

My My!

ZOTTING isn't up to me. So, I tried nothing. And it isn't up to you, either. So you have no idea whether, or when, you'll be ZOTTED.
