She is a former miss USA. My bet would be not guilty. Although it could be by reason on insanity.

Not quite what I would expect for a former beauty queen’s mug shot.
Guilty... and my condolences to the man that has ended up with her. Does he know about her past?

Well ... there’s definite evidence that she would’ve had interest in the $86 worth of Olay products.

Shannon LaRhea Marketic (born January 14, 1971), is a beauty queen from Phoenix, Arizona who became Miss USA 1992. In 1997 she filed a lawsuit against a prince of the ruling family of Brunei, alleging that he had compelled her into performing sexual acts for guests at a party he organized.

Looking a little long in the tooth there, and it doesn’t look like it’s been a comfortable journey either. Guilty.

This isn't a young woman.
She is a few weeks shy of 40.
She knows right from wrong, and her former youth and present looks don't giver her a pass.
Why this is such a big story, however, is BS. If a fat woman named "Latisha" (even if she was a former "Miss" something) shoplifted, it would not make national news.
Tell me I am wrong.

Well it hasn't really made national news. It was reported in the Dallas Morning News because it happened in the Dallas area. But if fat Latisha had shoplifted some beauty products anywhere else I probably would have posted it on FR just for the comic value

The Olay, which she says rolled to the rear of her cart and missed being scanned by the cashier, couldn’t do anything about the current fatness of her face. I am leaning towards a ditziness defense and letting her off with, at worst, a slap on the wrist. I carry no purse and little items have sometimes gone unnoticed in my cart until I have paid for what I thought was my order, then returning them to the cart (when I check carefully that I am getting the items I bought) it has been “oops, forgot these, would you ring them up now” and the cashier has always rung them up and never given me grief.

Innocent if she invents a time machine.
Failing that, guilty.
