I know this is going to piss off some Android lovers out there but the story has to be told nonetheless. Feel free to flame this post but it will not stop me from reporting news that might put some dents to DROID/Milestone or any other gadgets in the future. Read on to find out more about those common gripes or complaints about DROID/Milestone, Motorola’s Android 2.0-powered smart phone.

I agree with all seven of his points except I like the virtual keyboard. Never use the slide out so can't comment on that.

I would add that the constant updates to apps are irritating, not because of the updates, but because of the multiple steps to update and the lagging between steps.

In fact often making a selection on the Droid involves lagging before the smart phone executes the choice.

I'm not particularly satisfied with the Droid experience.

Personally, I haven’t had any of these problems with my Verizon Motorola Droid. But it does constantly annoy me with “droid” reminders when I am off work that I’m getting work emails. ;)

I really loved the Droid when I got it, but it has become an irritant like no other cell phone I have had...mostly because I expect more out of it.

I am surprised you have not had at least the loose battery cover because it is a complete design flaw.

I’m surprised. I haven’t had any problem at all with the battery cover. (fingers crossed now, tho’)

I should also add that several of my partners have purchased Droids as a result of my happiness with it and they haven’t had any of these problems either.

All the Droid reminds me of is the “Terminator” movies. Their ads even push the theme. Is this the beginning of the end?

I am surprised you have not had at least the loose battery cover because it is a complete design flaw.

I have the Droid and not only is my battery cover not loose, but it's damned near impossible to remove.

My only real gripe with it is the lack of Bluetooth voice dialing.
