You just don’t have to pull them very far.

If you measured you would find that Glock has a pretty standard length of trigger travel before the striker is drawn and released. The only difference is that the 1st 1/2 of the pull is lighter than the second half. A smith & wesson auto will only have a couple more pounds of force required than a glock, where S&W tends to put a 10-11 pound trigger pull on thier pistols.

If someone is relying on the trigger pull weight or length of travel for thier safe gun handling practices then they are violating a fundamental rule of gun safety by having their finger on the trigger when they ought not to.

But I thought all cops are highly trained super dooper sniper-gunsmith-firearms instructor-trick shot artist-navy seal-superhero hybrids who know everything that there possibly is to know about guns and then some, and who would never ever discharge a weapon in a way that wasn't completely safe or justified.

So why was this guy suspended again? Cause clearly he couldn't have fired by mistake - the gun itself must've malfunctioned! Plus they also put their lives on the line and all that other bullsh*t.
