Ive been leery of taurus autos, but since youve shot so many rounds from yours it’ll probably be just fine.

I have a 9mm and a .45 in Taurus autos. The 9mm had a feed problem with the factory mags, which I solved with a small file and careful removal of material from the top of the mag. The .45 has been superb right out of the plastic hardcase, with both factory mags.

Actually, I have three Taurus pistols. I also have a Beretta lookalike which is a joy to shoot but the grip is large/fatter than the 24/7 9mm. Aftermarket mags have to be ‘tuned’ for the Beretta knockoff, but I have altered Beretta 30 rnd mags to work just fine in the knockoff.

Probably the 24/7. I prefer the OSS DS .45 because of the mag capacity and the feel in my hand when shooting it. I even throw a few hollow points down range each visit, so I remember the feel ... it is slightly different from ball ammo shots.

I love my Mosin!

Just put 80 rounds through it today (today was family range day).

(Nobody will give you a hard time about putting a recoil pad on a Mosin. They kick like a friggin’ mule.)

Rifle, sling, bayonet, ammo pouches = $79 on sale at Dunhams.

It ain't pretty. But I don't care. All of my weapons are for shooting. A lot.

The ten and fifteen round mags available for the Hi-Point 9MM carbine also function in the 9MM pistol they sell. I know because I tried them out this weekend. I'm calling tomorrow to ask Hi-Point if their .45 ACP pistol mag will function in the .45 carbine or if the carbine mag will function in the pistol.

But my late-night 'oh crap, what was that' weapon is the bedside companion, a .40 S&W Taurus OSS with decocker, single or double action. Holds fifteen and one up the spout. The decocker allows a chambered round in a hammerless pistol so there is not even the clicking of the hammer going back or the thumb safety disengaging on a 1911. Eats hollow points or flat nose without a hitch.

The Taurus OSS DS in .45 ACP is also very good for reliability and effective wound infliction. It also comes with a decocker and you can get it with night sights. There is also a rail for a laser, should you want one for off hand shooting.

75 posts so far and not one person has mentioned what the news is teaching those paying attention. The yutes doing crime are now getting into little groups. Whatever is used for home defense better have many rounds and some kind of back up weaponry. Me, I'm depending on 16 round .40 S&W hollow points to get to my assault weapon with hi-cap mags and or a Maverick 88 in 20ga with twenty extra on the bandolier sling.

The feral yutes are running in packs and herds. Need more ammo to stack a row of flesh up to slow down the survivors for careful targeting.

I have the Sterling 9mm L2A3 It is way cooler and hold 34 rounds in what is the rolls royce of magazines.

Still, I prefer the Saiga 12 for home defense.

It's like shooting a .22 recoil wise.
I have one chambered for 7.62x25 That one has recoil. That round does 1550 to 1650 fps out of a hand gun, I haven't chronoed it in a carbine.
I picked up both with the tax refund

Oh nooooo, if you’re allowing the fed to withhold that much, you’re being used! My next acquisition if some sort of .45 ACP carbine. I may go with the Hi-Point, if the mags will function in their JHP .45 ACP hand boulder. ... I settled my concealed carry issues long ago, so everyhting is about HD for me, and mine where they live.

For that price I got the 9mm Sterling carbine with 6 sterling mags and a WWII mag pouch.
The 7.62x25 Sterling and 3 modified Sten mags.
I added leather HK G3 slings because I had a few laying around and they worked perfectly.

Yep...for just over a $1,200.00 I picked up two Ruger P89s with 15 rd capacity and a PC9 carbine that uses the same mags.
