Original title: Men are the best bosses: Women at the top are just too moody (and it's women themselves who say so)...
They are hormonal, incapable of leaving their personal lives at home and only too happy to talk about their staff behind their backs.
Female bosses are a nightmare to work for, a survey of employees concludes.
And it is not just men who think so.
Two-thirds of women said they preferred a male boss because their straight-talking, get to the point attitude makes them easier to deal with.
They are also much less likely to have a hidden agenda, suffer mood swings or get involved in office politics, workers said.
About 3,000 men and women were questioned for the research, with three- quarters of men agreeing that they would rather work for a man than a woman. A quarter of women accused female bosses of backstabbing and bringing their personal lives into the office. And a third of those polled said women with power are loose cannons who often feel threatened by colleagues.

While I would agree with this article on the average, the worse boss I ever had was a woman. At the same time the best boss I ever had was a woman, she was really great.
I’ve had wonderful male and female bosses and horrible male and female bosses.
It’s the person not the sex.
I don’t know, I believe there are equal amounts of @ss holes in each gender. Boss or no boss.
It’s also been my experience that women have a harder time working for women than men.
I think men make better bosses. Just my experience, perhaps.
I will work for any qualified woman, and have done so many times.
However, I will NEVER work in a department with a majority population of women. They just get crazy when you put them in close proximity.
I work in a place with all of management are black females. They give me a hard time perhaps because they are intimidated. Not sure. I agree with the article about women tend to be backstabbers. Men seem to confront a problem head on and don’t play the passive-aggressive game.
In my experience, women bosses usually have to be much more rigid, and disciplined, and driven, to get to upper management positions. They were the best to work for because they fought hard to obtain their goals.
Yeah.... well, unless they are schizophrenic.
... plus men are not bad dancers. (Sweet fancy Moses!)
Men don’t buy $8000 rat hats with company money.
And they don’t promote Vietnam veterans from the mail room to write copy.
a 99% truism.
If women ran the world, there would be no more wars, only skirmishes every thirty days....
I have had several good female managers. My only complaint would be the occasional lack of direct communication. In other words, “What do you think about doing this?” instead of “Please do this.”
I agree. I had good and bad bosses (and coworkers) both sexes.
Hogwash. Most women are on birth control pills anyway, and do not have natural hormonal fluctuations. If a woman’s a bad boss or employee, it’s because *she* personally, just is.
They are also too sensitive and can't take constructive criticism. And when they screw up, they expect someone else to fix it for them. I've never had a female boss but I've seen enough of them.
The best female bosses generally come from strong families. They do the job and don't act weak or threatened.
In my experience women don’t like working for woman. My last job, I got along with the “psycho-witch” but the women hated her. It was like that at my previous job too but they used more unflattering adjectives. Almost to a person, they all said that they felt “held back” and their experiences were confrontational and not of workplace respect.
perhaps they confuse boss with bossy...
