They all will be picking up oil balls, going to a soup kitchen and meeting with un-employed.

Far less damage was done to the Gulf by BP than by the media and the federal government. BO’s drilling ban is the real catastrophe for the Gulf’s economy.

"The president is deeply committed to the folks in the Gulf region," said White House spokesman Bill Burton.

I have a question. How are we to understand "deeply committed"? Is this different from simply "committed", or "merely committed", and if so, how?

Or is it, as I suspect, just a series of sound waves that sound good on playback, but with no connection to reality?

I’ll betcha Moochelle is NOT happy about the “Michelle Antoinette” comparison! So I figure she’ll find a way to work in some real lowbrow no-class stuff into this trip to the Redneck Riviera. Then again, it’s all she knows...

So the plan is to celebrate Ramadam in the Gulf of Mexico eating shrimp and oysters? That should make everybody happy.

Bet he schedules a few more fundraisers as he travels through the region. He’s fundraising for the DNC (from well-heeled trial lawyers) on the public dime.

"The president is deeply committed to the folks in the Gulf region," said White House spokesman Bill Burton. He said Obama wants to ensure the people of the Gulf Coast are "made whole again after what was a terrible catastrophe."

Total horse hockey! If that were the case, they'd have been there earlier, and stayed for at least as long as they've been staying on their other vacations in tony areas of the country, and the world, this summer.
