New York's 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals reversed a decision of a lower court by claiming Congress can withhold funding to Acorn (The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now). ACORN may consider a second appeal. "We cannot let Congress be pushed around by the right-wing media machine into becoming prosecutor, judge, jury and executioner of politically unpopular people or organizations," said Bill Quigley, legal director for The Center for Constitutional Rights arguing for ACORN.
No Bill, the Federal Government should not fund a criminal organization, not a left one or a right one.

Mississippi State is in the fine tradition of land-grant colleges and has a dairy sciences program which produces some of the finest cheese I have ever eaten.
Now, Ole Miss, otoh, is ... well, in a different category.

Did you know that Ole Miss has one of the largest marijuana research centers in the U.S.? I am talking about ‘for real’, not the using of it.

Yes, dear you, still in the same place. We had a house full all summer, but they all went home last week. Miss them terribly, but old folks need to recharge too.
Rash of neighborhood break-in’s, so we have a neighborhood watch program supervisored by the police department. Working out quite well: (ahem) newspaper reports that several lawnmowers were stolen from carports and sheds in yards! The kind of mowers that you drive away!!!
Get the laptop if that’ll solve your computer problems!
