New York's 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals reversed a decision of a lower court by claiming Congress can withhold funding to Acorn (The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now). ACORN may consider a second appeal. "We cannot let Congress be pushed around by the right-wing media machine into becoming prosecutor, judge, jury and executioner of politically unpopular people or organizations," said Bill Quigley, legal director for The Center for Constitutional Rights arguing for ACORN.

No Bill, the Federal Government should not fund a criminal organization, not a left one or a right one.

If you can think of the man’s name that we both know, please send it to me in FR mail.

He’s from Hattiesburg and he teaches law enforcement/criminal investigation course at Southern Miss and you know him from way back when you both worked in Law Enforcement. Recall that I made his acquaintance at the Antique Auctions and he talked highly of you? He likes antiques and owned a jewelry store in Pass Christian that got wiped-out by Katrina. I’ve been trying to recall his name for months.

In re (what officially became last night to be) Obama's Mosque:

Wow. All I can say is, for a guy who is supposed to have superhuman political instincts, he seems to look at the situation and choose the side which will create the most controversy.

This leads me to believe that he won't run again, and just try to cause as much damage as he can while he's steering the ship of state into the rocks.

I mean, can you just imagine the Presidential Debates now?

Any Nobama Opponent, from left or right: "My fellow Americans, I say to you tonight, I pledge to stand with the Amercan people, especially the families of those lost in the vicious attack on 9/11, and against those who choose appeasement and surrender instead of defending this great nation."

(BTW, this slam will go against Hitlery! as well, since the State Department is sending sharia proponents as reps for the US into the Middle East AND funding the building of mosques there)... ;-))

I tend to agree with you, however, I hope the race card doesn’t trump the 9/11 tragedy. The way the msm reports we never know.

The house showing was a waste of time. As soon as I saw that he was alone I knew he was a pro-house-flipper. Turns out I was right.

Yes, the house is cleaned out. In fact, it is neater than our own. ;-)

It was recommended that we list it without an agent for a few weeks. We have four interested callers.

No doubt about it, the house needs new windows. I'm going to ask a window company for a free estimate.

If nothing happens in two weeks we will list with an agent.

All last week Greg was drilling and grouting .. grouting and drilling. Do you know how messy that is?

Let me tell you. It's so messy he pressure washed his jeans before I can wash them.

I just spotted that thread, dear lysie. There’s no way, I’m going to admit to some of the stupid and dangerous stuff I did as a tom-boy, but I’m sure going to read about what y’all and other FRiends did! LOL.

Oh, I am enjoying that thread. Thanks for posting it. I can’t recall doing anything remotely daring, but I can recall doing things that were extremely stupid.

Come to think of it, I haven’t changed much. Hold ma’ beer!
