I don’t know about you, but I think most people buy their dogs rather than lease them. Most people get way too attached to turn them in after 3-5 years.
Catholics don't prostilaze, they only pontificate.
I completely agree with you. To counter this, I’m going to start posting pages and maybe whole chapters from a book I’m currently reading which is entitled “The Reformed Doctrine of Predestination.” If we have to plow through Catholic bilge every time we sign on to FreeRepublic, Protestants better be given equal time.
People have the right to post what they want, as long as its within tasteful norms.
Thats what makes us better than the pagans over at DU. They don't like it, they shut it down.
Here, don't read them.
Yes, we have to be aware that others read our sight, and thus be cautious how we post. But censorship of religion, beyond current guidelines would be bad. It would smack of political correctness.
(Yes I spelled it BUTT ;^)
I’m Catholic and have no problem here. Why don’t you just bypass the topics that you don’t like as most people do.
"I"
As others have pointed out, you don't have to get any religion threads if you don't wish to. But why take care of your problem the easy way when you can create an inane vanity post.
You probably have your page layout set to “Everything.”
To change it:
1. Look for the “Configure Sidebar” link.
2. Click on that to go to the My Page Layout screen.
3. In the list of Blocks, set “Browse by Forum” to “Right.” (You can select another direction, but let’s just select “Right.”)
4. Click the Modify button.
A list of forums appears on the right.
Notice that there’s one exclusively for Religion.
You never have to click on that ever again.
That's wonderful, but what if I want to track "Bloggers & Personal" too? I must either exclude half the "good threads" (by filtering only "News/Activism," which excludes the blogs), or track the swell religious threads that have titles like "Look here! Must read" or "Dissent Poisons" (by choosing "Everything").
As far as I’m concerned, the best time in the history of the world was when Catholics were regularly fed to the lions.
Thank you, I knew I should have bought rather than leased. Recently I had to cut down on the walks because I learned that I could be charged for excessive mileage and wear & tear at the end of the lease period.
Do it for edification of others.
Possibly you will reach 350 comment but humour will be lacking in replies...
ByeBye...
Then create another bookmark for bloggers...
Or, you can get an AIR app that will just show the feeds you want, use the feeds from news/bloggers/chat/whatever you want.
*snort*
I don't think there ever was such a time. In the early days they were simply Christians; only later, post-Constantine, was the heirarchy established and the dogma laid down.
Don’t you just hate it when those Papes have an opinion! They just don’t thump that bible loud enough!
These so called Catholics are doing their darnest to trash the Catholic Church, and the Catholic-haters foam at the mouth everytime of of these Catholics post their self hating posts.
Personally, having a Canadian Scots Presbyterian heritage, I am fascinated by the exotic elements of Latin, the suggestion of smells and bells, the color purple everywhere...
Live and let live, I say.
Your opinion does not belong in breaking news, and in the religion forum, which Free Republic has one each of, there are a number of Catholic posters.
Either:
1. stay away from the religion forum
or
2. stop hitting “everything” when you look for comments.
