They were giving away samples of Starbucks (or, as another Freeper calls it, 'Charbucks') Via instant coffee at my Costco over the weekend.
I don't care what you do to it, instant coffee ALWAYS smells like instant coffee - and this stuff was no exception to the rule. I spotted the smell as she was pouring it, and it had that same Nescafe taste.
But, hey! It's Starbucks, man. Do ya hear me? Starbucks!
Whatever...

Our Dear Professor clearly wasn’t creative enough to say “I prefer neither cheese nor butter.”
Then she would have offended neither the Barista nor the English language.
Maybe calling the cops was the right move. People who are this narrowly self-obsessed should be locked up.

Charbucks is a snooty fad business. I’ll never go there a second time.
Why the hell would you waste your time standing in line and then pay three or four times for a cup of burnt coffee?
You could get a truly large and better grade of coffee at McDonalds for a buck.

Well, they will never have a problem with me. You couldn’t pay me $20.00 to go get a cup of their coffee. I’ve had their crap twice - the first and last the same morning.

>medium half decaf and half regularOut of curiosity, do you really need to specify that the other half of your "half decaf" is "regular?" I bet you could optimize your order a little bit and just ask for a "half decaf" and be fine.

They don't understand what a plain multigrain bagel is." And how hard would it have been to say, "Plain multigrain bagel, hold the butter, hold the cream cheese?"
To: JoeProBono
Why didn’t the guy just give her a bagel and forget about it?
To: scott7278
My thought too. I suspect she was upset the waitress did not respect her towering intellect.

I’d bet money she never uttered the word “plain” in the entire encounter. I expect when asked “butter or cheese” she said “no”, and things devolved from there.

Why didn’t she just take the free butter and put it in her purse for later?

Libs often wear scarfs in the summertime for no apparent reason. Please fill me in as to why, if anyone knows. It's by far one of the cheapest and easiest ways to maintain that elitist air of aloof irrelevance.

With the amount of overtime money they make for "protecting" us from the violently murderous and savage 60 year old women they can afford Starbucks donuts.
I just wish they would spend that money on testicles.
I do respect the 10-15% of officers that faithfully and reasonably discharge their duties. They don't need to buy testicles as they were issued a pair by God. Or ovaries as appropriate.

Too each his own. I like my coffee pretty strong (it doesn’t take as much water to make coffee as most folks seem to think it does) and every time I’ve tried Dunkin Donuts coffee it has been not quite as good as a cup of Sanka instant coffee.
If I had a choice of paying for a cup of Starbucks or getting a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee for free, I would probably flip a coin to decide which way to go.

What do you have against the police?
This could have been a terrorist incident or she might have taken hostages. I think they underreacted...where was the SWAT team?
