This is one of the main problems with our society. It's all about the form and not the function. The LEO world makes great movies. The other jobs don't.

Cops think they are Praetorian and not Plebeian.

Eventually they'll find out that the people they obey are far more comtemptious of them then the people they "serve and protect".
