I think she just has nothing else to do than shop, have her hair, nails and face done and party, with an occasional campaign appearance, now and then.
Her only issues seem to be food and weight, but recipes are lacking and her actual meals are all that is reported. She is interested in designers who sell to celebrities. She has a large collection of shoes, wigs and jewelry. She has no reported hobbies. There are no reports of her reading list, which likely is limited to Vogue, Marie Claire and certain gossip columnists. Friends are never named. Her entourage always seems to include mainly her nieces and nephews and other family members.
I think she simply shops when angry, happy, bored or otherwise not engaged. That is who she is: an over-educated, self-involved and self-indulgent nouveau riche woman with limited interests. The upper class ladies of the left love her because she is just like them. The upper middle class black ladies love her because she is either just like them or their aspiration. The poor black ladies love her because that is how they live, although on a lower tier of price points. The professional left probably despises her behavior, but will shut up out of political correctness.
Likely zerO finds it easier to pay her bills than to make a public spectacle of the problem. If she resents Oprah, it could well be because Oprah is a self-made billionaire, while Michelle is dependent on her husband, the Party and the taxpayer. Mr. and Mrs. zerO need Oprah, she doesn’t need them.
