It is true that qualitative method in sociology doesn't strive for objectivity any longer because they recognize the researcher's bias. However, it is also true that the researcher is still demanded to understand the subjects' view in their own terms, not the researcher's, and the researcher needs to respect those 'indigenous' understanding.
