SUV crashes into crowd waiting for bus in Visitacion Valley
San Francisco Examiner ^ | August 24, 2010 | Kamala Kelkar

Five people were seriously injured when a Ford Explorer plowed into the crowd that was standing in a shady spot while waiting for a Muni bus in Visitacion Valley on Tuesday.

The crash occurred just after 9:30 a.m. near San Bruno and Arleta Avenues. The 24-year-old female driver said she lost control of the vehicle after the steering and brakes failed, according to police.

The vehicle reportedly ran into a cement wall at the base of an apartment complex, struck the standers-by and then came to rest at a chain-link fence. The distance between the cement wall and the chain-link fence is a distance of about 10 feet.

One man and four women were transported to San Francisco General Hospital. The driver was not injured in the crash.

A preliminary assessment at San Francisco General Hospital revealed that four victims — who are all adults who range in ages between 30 and 70 — are in serious condition and one is in critical, said hospital spokeswoman Rachael Kagan.

The driver was not arrested and was the only person in the vehicle.

Mrs Patriot read this from the paper this morning and we were wondering how far you would have to read to identify the perp and if they are legally in the US.

No surprise, SF "public servants" are going to mke sure you never can identify the individual or status of someone gets rid of so many taxpayers in one whack.

My conclusion, the evil SUV did it.

Maybe it’s sudden Jihad Syndrome. A Jihad that has learned to be tearful and to blame the brakes.

How many times in the history of automobiles have steering and brakes failed simultaeously without the car having just been in an accident? More likely the steerER and brakER failed to pay attention to what was going on.

SUVs need to be drug-tested.

Could have lost a belt, or the engine could have died. Don’t know why they don’t teach people how to handle these things in driver’s ed...and people should really consider whether or not they are strong enough to handle a large vehicle (sans power assist) before driving it.

Interestingly, the on line article is much shorter than the print version, and in the print article the woman was unlicensed, uninsured, did not speak English, and was "unidentified".

The print version is available as an image file HERE

Yes, it is possible that the serpentine belt failed the power assist to brakes and steering, however this gal should not have been on the road at all, and probably not in the country.

Aztlan Mexican are protected and above the law in SF, and regularly kill and maim the taxpayers while getting housing subsidies and other welfare from SF.

If you are an ordinary citizen, don't fail to sort your trash or be in possession of a plastic bag.

Won’t matter. My guess is she’s given the police a phoney name (easy to do since she didn’t have any ID) and address and they’ll never find her again.

Maybe it’s sudden Jihad Syndrome.

More and more SUVs are converting to Islam and declaring jihad! Must have something to do with the Islamization of Detroit and Dearborn!

This photo was recently taken; it shows newly-converted SUVs facing Mecca:

The registration of the SUV would be a big clue...

Perhaps the illegal nanny of some local politician?

The other protected class in SF...

SAN FRANCISCO — An unlicensed, uninsured 24-year-old woman driving a Ford Explorer careened through a group of people waiting for a bus in Visitacion Valley on Tuesday morning, sending five people to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police confirmed the unidentified driver, who does not speak English, has neither a driver’s license nor insurance. The San Francisco Police Department will now inspect the vehicle.
