I think the whole of Hollywood is based on homosexuality.....at least since about the 1960's......it used to be that a gal had to sleep with the producer guy but now its the guy having to sleep with the producer guy....
there is absolutly no reason why some become stars or regulars on tv.....Tom Cruise for instance..he had that boyish cuteness but so did lots of others....why did he make it and not the others?
