“McInerny isn’t a judge and has no legal expertise.”


However, retired General McInerny CAN speak — as one who has commanded those with atomic powers at their disposal — to his PERSONAL AND EXPERT opinion: as to the importance of confidence in the chain of command, in such circumstances.

I don’t believe he was attempting to give legal advice, or take the place of a competent judge, do you?

I agree with you on this point. LTG McInerny was expressing a political opinion and he is not only entitled to do it, it is most welcome. That’s where this whole debate belongs, in the political arena, and not in the military justice system. I think that the judge pretty much sorted that out today.
