You may think that your freedoms are being impinged by the mandatory part of the flu shot. What if the mandatory shot to save your job turned into a mandatory shot for your entire family in order to save your job?

Same here. I have only gotten sick once in the ten years since my last flu shot.
Hubby stopped last year after I urged him to skip it. He used to get sick a day or two every year after getting the shot. The health professionals all would say that was a coincidence. Then why was he fine last season?

A friend in the health care field has recently been required to give his employer information about his BMI, LDL & HDL, BP, etc. The HIPPA fight is on-going.
I’m with you. We don’t take the shots either. But..if I were working for a large hospital facility and they said it was mandatory to take the flu shot OR lose my job. I would be irate, but food has to go on the table.
Haven’t had one since the government ordered me to take a swine flu shot in 78 when they had excess serum and no swine flu epidemic. I was sick the whole weekend, the one weekend a month I didn’t have to stand duty in port.
Companies around the country are not hiring smokers, this isn’t a far leap to ban or fire people who will not partake of the shots.
In all my 77 years I’ve never had a flu shot. Never had those DPT shots when a child either. I had the diseases instead. As far as I know, I’ve never had the flu. Hubby gets the shot every year and gets the flu every year. I don’t even catch it from him. Iron-clad immune system and Vit.C keeps me cold free.
Why would they need to know his BMI, cholesterol, BP, etc? Do they think he’s going to transmit those to patients?!?
remember that swine flu is included with the regular flu shot this year - not that anyone here is getting a shot, but remind the fence-sitters what is in it!

Haven’t had a flu shot in over 30 years. Haven’t had the flu either in over 30 years.
It’s mandatory in the military every year, same as an HIV test and a urinalysis, etc. Should be the same for all citizenry that get paid by the Federal Government.
