They should bring back TV with tubes.
But I got to sit near the set cuz my old man let me change the channels. Course we only had three until that modern UHF came along. Then we had four. Plus I got to turn the antenna (as instructed) if we started losing the picture!
sniff. That's when things were right in the world.
I remember as a kid going down to the store (can't remember what kind) and checking individual tubes on a huge tube checking console with dozens of sockets to fit the different types.
