My Dad died of colon cancer (ok...enuff with the personal stuff).

But...since that "crap" (no pun intended) is in my genes, and I'm well beyond 55, I get one of these every three years. To date, I've had 5....and I'm clear - so far.

Simple simple simple procedure. The prep (2 days) is way way more trouble than the actual event.

Follow the nurse's orders....consume every bit of the "prep fluid" they give you...and stay away from anything red (the dyes used can "mask" things they may need to see clearly).

If there are no major polyps, you should be able to return to your normal diet within a day. Even if there are, you'll be back to normal in three.

Have a ball...it's really easy....and the peace of mind is priceless.

FR just lost a long time Freeper to colon cancer and one of his last posts was to encourage all to not put off their routine colonoscopy. (50yrs or earlier depending on that individuals history/health)
