You eat yogurt when you are taking antibiotics.

My pharmacist always suggests this when he dispenses antibiotics.

The ZNP soap can be found online. I think they also have a shampoo. It can’t hurt to try it. The combination of the ZNP soap and the Acnomel (not sure I’m spelling that right) cured my Rosacea. I don’t have to use the sulfur cream now except when I get an occasional single pimple. The cream is tinted and contains sulfur. I use the soap because I think it keeps me from breaking out. A nurse friend told me years ago that sulfur would cure Rosacea. Doctors never tell you what will cure things.

I had a bad run with diver 15yrs ago due to my poor diet habits.

Doc wanted to snip a some gut out, I went to another guy and changed my eating habits and I got lucky.

The warm molasses and warm milk mix (milk makes it usuable as an enama) cure was from our gastroenternal doc.

KV gets psuedeo bowel blocks from no message to involentary muscles and he swallows allot of air at times of excitement.

It is rare that it turns into a bowel block but we have the cure.

In the old days it was surgery.

My pharmacist always suggests this [eating yogurt] when he dispenses antibiotics.
However, it's best if only plain yogurt is eaten because the sugar in other yogurts just amps up the bad bacteria all over again. I stay away from all antibiotics now (use oregano oil or thieves oil as I mentioned) unless I absolutely need it (only once in the last 7-8 years). My son just had some Thieves Oil moments ago and is drinking organic garlic/honey water for his cough. Yummy! :)

Thanks I found it and bookmarked the page so I could order it during business hours.

Not a bad price either.

Open to anything that helps and makes that aspect of KV’s care less time consuming.

Yes, and Brown Cow brand (plain, cream at the top) is wonderful ... very easy to eat even though there is no added sugar. Whole Foods sells it ...

“””I had a two year bout with Rosacea or adult acne. Retin-A made it worse. Everything I tried made it worse, until I found ZNP soap and Acnomel. Cured the Rosacea. Seems there are two things that can zap those acne causing bugs. Zinc and Sulfur. My skin has been really good for three years now.”””

I went from teenage acne to adult acne (even worse) and you’re right. This and eating somewhat right and WORKING OUT regularly.

Again, thanks mlizzy. Antibiotics are often over prescribed but if you have a confirmed strep or staph infection and don’t take antibiotics the consequences can be deadly.

I was looking for it too. The best price is on the Canada site. $8. I thought I saw the shampoo one time when I was looking, but didn’t see it this time.

You’re certainly correct. I couldn’t begin to figure out how many strep throats I’ve had in my lifetime; I lost count a long time ago. But it was a continuing cycle. I’d get strep, take the antibiotic which ate up all my good bacteria, so I’d get strep all over again because my system was weakened. Unfortunately my mother did not know of any natural cures to help strengthen me ... but ever since I’ve been doing things in holistic fashion, antibiotics haven’t been part of my life unless I absolutely need them and it’s been very rare ...

Augmentin makes me ill within an hour of taking it. Every time I am prescribed antibiotics I make sure it is nothing like Augmentin.

I was looking for it too. The best price is on the Canada site. $8. I thought I saw the shampoo one time, so I tried ZNP Shampoo and it’s the same thing. The bar can be used as a shampoo as well as face bar. I may try it on my hair since it’s all falling out anyway.

I have to say this is an incredibly retarded ignorant piece of journalism.

They write this like they are the first people to discover this FACT that has been KNOWN to doctors since PENICILLIN was first widely used.

Antibiotics kill good AND bad bacteria, no kidding! What you stupid MSM morons, they just go after the bad? Idiots. Nobody takes a damn science class or has common sense to think about it rationally for two seconds that of course it will kill off ALL different kinds of bacteria, good and bad.

They knew this in the 40s and doctors prescribed penicilling with probiotics to offset the good bacteria that would die off. This did fall out of practice but that doesn’t mean probiotics aren’t needed or that now antibiotics only go after the bad bacteria.

Anyone who has animals knows about this. Anyone who’s been on antibiotics themselves SHOULD know about this already.

And hey, science knobs in the media, THAT’S WHAT THE FRIGGIN APPENDIX IS FOR!!!! It’s a resevoir of beneficial bacteria (a reset button) that can recolonize the gut in cases when it’s needed.

Only a naturopathic/homeopathic doctor would.

Also it is good to take probiotics. They have many that are in an enteric capsule (survives stomach acid) and opens in the small intestine so the maximum amount of good bacteria survive to live in the intestines.

Sugar is what bad bacteria thrive on. Refined sugar, corn syrup, etc.

Natural sugars, not so much. And use honey if you need to sweeten things. It’s the one food that doesn’t rot/spoil. It also is one of two or three sugars that do not spike your blood sugar levels. It can also be used to prevent wound infections (topically).

Yes, I know. I try to go with alternative treatments as much as possible. I never go to the doc for anything that does not cause severe pain, and even then I just get mad because they don’t have a clue as to what to do for the pain. I had several Diverticulitis attacks and they couldn’t find out what was causing the pain. I finally made them do a cat scan and they found it. First thing, they want to operate. I said, let’s try some other things first. I’ve not had an attack for at least two years since then. He gave me the Cipro in case of emergency. This is an emergency.

Hey, as far as emergencies go, I am with you. We have great emergency meds that really pull people through situations they otherwise wouldn’t. I just don’t want to be hooked onto a lifetime of drugs with side effects, I am like you, I’ll take the food and herb and natural methods and treatments before that.

There have been a couple of times when I was prescribed antibiotics and I felt better then next day. It's obvious that they shouldn't have been prescribed. One day, 3 pills is not a problem. The problem is that people who take antibiotics for 3-5 days and then stop when they feel better. Now we have all the super-bugs who are becoming resistant to so many antibiotics.
