Neighbors assumed it must be drug related, while police later said it was a domestic stalker wanted on numerous felony warrants who was the target of an armed raid on an East Knoxville house Monday afternoon.

Either way, the suspect they were looking for wasn't there.

And the Knoxville Police Department continues to search for Horace Henry Gladden, 31, of Knoxville.

"This individual has been stalking his girlfriend. He has been very violent toward his girlfriend," said KPD spokesman Darrell DeBusk. "She's had to be moved on more than one occasion (for her safety.)"

Police have placed Gladden on nationwide extradition for warrants including domestic assault, aggravated burglary, theft and vandalism. The suspect also has four warrants for failure to appear in court on charges of domestic assault, a weapons charge and disorderly conduct, DeBusk said.

"(Gladden) has made numerous threats to police officers that he would kill any police officer who approached him," DeBusk said.

Don't know if he is still in the Knoxville area or if he has taken off, but this sounds like a guy that wants to have a show-down. So if you see him, stay clear, call the cops, and let them handle it. Don't want to lose any FRiends.

I’ve built my life around the rock solid foundation of a single governing principle: “Never go to Knoxville.”

After reading about the 'Knoxville Horror of a few years ago and the 4-5 trials resulting from that case as well as this incident, I am beginning to believe that Knoxville is not a very safe place to live in.

Then again I live in New Jersey where you assume the worst will happen just because it is a Blue State. Coddling Criminals and Illegal Aliens as well as taking tax paying law abiding folks for granted is the rule of law around here.

I am still looking for a good place to retire in some day.

The bad news is, crime seems to be up in Knoxville.

The good news is, there are a lot of law-abiding, God-fearing, gun-totin’ people here who won’t let the bad guys prevail.

Like Coach Jim Valvano said years ago, “Don’t give up. Don’t ever give up”.
