A pre-dawn fire that destroyed nearly all of Harris County's voting machines last month likely erupted in a rear section of the north Houston warehouse that was used as a classroom and storage area, authorities said on Wednesday.
Houston Fire Department arson dogs didn't find any accelerants, such as gasoline, at the scene of the Aug. 27 blaze at the Harris County Election Technology Center, 606 Canino.
"We don't have any reason to believe that ignitable liquids were used," said HFD arson chief Gabe Cortez.
Although arson investigators haven't ruled out the fire being intentionally set, Cortez acknowledged that most suspicious cases involve an accelerant.
The building's electrical system is being scrutinized as the investigation continues.

do the new or borrowed machines come with votes pre-installed?
I would want those machines examined completely by TWO outside sources.
Los Zetas are the door greeters...
The borrowed machines are mostly from the surrounding counties that are more conservative than Harris County.
Houston PING
Bill White’s party and his crew most likely set the fire...they had a professional who knew how to hide the evidence mostly...but in the end...they’ll discover how it was done....
Heard (yeah, I know, I just heard it) that TRavis County is giving us a number of machines, and have been very open about their “charity”...
What gets me is that there is absolutely no Republicn party leadership getting out and being very vocal in these press releases or attending these “planning” meetings where these decisions are being made...
I asked this question to a couple of people (who will go nameless) and got this “Thousand Yard Stare” effect...
Like how dare I even ask...
Something funky is going on, but I figure at the end of the day Harris County will vote and it’ll go our way anyway...But barely...
Thank God!
