Start in SAFE MODE with networking (if you can) and see if it is faster

if it is then some add-on installed in our prowser is the culprit.

OR try disabling all add-ons, from the explorere TOOLS, MANAGE ADD-ONS, and INTERNET OPTION menus

Already tried that but thanks. SAFE MODE with networking is just as slow. IE is so slow I can barely ever get a web page to execute in that.

Firefox at least sometimes let me send/receive some packets while browsing the web, but most of the time the whole connection stalls, but only while I’m browsing.

Like I said give me a link to click on which is to a 10MB file and I’ll have it downloaded successfully in seconds.
