This drug pretty much killed my mother. it gave her congestive heart failure and even though we complained to the doctor that the drug was the cause , they refused to take her off of it.
so my feisty mother took herself off of it! And lived a few years longer!
Sometimes you need a different doctor. Glad your mom prevailed.
