It has been a while since I last heard Barry on the airwaves. I always enjoyed his show. Congrats on 50 years, Barry, and thank you for your skill.
I occasionally listen to him when I’m going to work early Saturday morning. I understand he was Rush Limbaugh before there was such a thing as Rush Limbaugh. How did he survive during the days of the “Fairness Doctrine”? If Farber was able to broadcast in the 1960’s the way Limbaugh, Hannity, Ingraham, Liddy, et. al. now, perhaps we wouldn’t have suffered defeat in Vietnam? 150 seat Democrat majorities? the EPA?
What a great, great man. I listened to him years ago and everything he said was sound from life to politics. I just wish I could tell him so in person...
He is the best of the best. His intelligence and dignity usually won over any naysayer.
We’ll not see another like him.
Be well, sir.
I listened to his late night show on WOR or another NYC station when I was going to school in Boston. IIRC he came along after Long John Nebel.
I don’t get to hear him much any more, but I loved listening to him. Great guy. As smart as they come.
