I agree with you two. The original film was terrific and is worth remaking - but what are they thinking getting Will Smith involved? That’s a miscast.
They shouldn’t remake this film. It was dark and depressing. There is no ‘happy ending’. I don’t want to see films like that anymore. Good guys win, bad guys lose. Otherwise, forget it.
Bean counters. Smith’s movies average over $130 million in box office.
An idea pick would have been Harrison Ford or Mel Gibson.
I cant really see Smith as a computer wiz. He didnt sell me as a MD in I am Legend.
