You are right! What we don’t need is Bernake(?) putting in the 1970s inflation, job busting laws. I remember them, very well. And Jimmy carter’s micro managing us up to 22% interest rates. For investment rates, it was great, he didn’t know what it did for us. To borrow...heaven forbid. For those buying homes, it seemed everytime they turned around they had a balloon of interest to their loan.

In re Jimmy Cahtah-style 70's stupidity: I keep harping on Carter's Windfall Profits Tax, but people forget that that legislation started the 'malaise' that followed: the gas prices, the gas shortages, the economic slowdown from energy prices going waaay up, etc.
Nobama also thinks the tax system is a bottomless pit of revenue that just needs the handle cranked a little harder to afford all of his socialism -- scary to think that the U.S. economy, as big as it is, can't even support Socialism-lite, let alone the full-blown illness...;-))
