How was breakfast today? Was the mood upbeat and positive? Was there a heavy sense of foreboding? Tuesday predictions?

I sat with the county clerk and recorder at breakfast yesterday. She said so far the early voting turnout was low, but that was to be expected. Also most of the mail-in ballots are still not in. I asked her about my plan to have my co-worker let me fill out his ballot and she said as long as he signs it, there is nothing wrong with it. The mood is very upbeat and positive. There are some older veterans that say quietly if we don't win, they are ready for a revolution. Very few predictions, except for what we have been hearing nationally.

It is almost unanimous that Tancredo is our guy for governor, even though he jumped over to the American Constitution Party to run. Dan Maes (R) has dropped below 10%. Some predict Tancredo will switch back to Republican from the American Constitution Party if he wins governor.

The speaker was one of the 3 conservatives that work at the liberal msm Denver Post. Of course, he's squishy, but at least we have him as a relatively conservative voice in that liberal nest.

Next Wednesday will be an open meeting (no speaker) so we will discuss the outcome for the entire time.
