IMO, this is not quite succeeding at this point in time due primarily to the rise of the Tea Parties. I think it has blind-sided them and they're still reeling from the impact. But, like the mythical hydra, everytime one of their heads get lopped off, they grow two more. It is important that we all unify around each other against an enemy and not allow ourselves to be splintered into different factions. We need to be "independent together!"
