Republicans will Face an Increasing Number of Nations Beholden to Oil-Producing States

There is no question about it, demand for oil is increasing due to the demand from an ever increasing number of nations which are modernizing, be it the Latin American states, from Asia and South-East Asia to Africa, what to speak of China and India.

As their demand for oil increases, the likelihood that the politics of the Islamic extremism, anti-American sentiment, and international conflicts will all impact the perspective of these oil demanding countries as the weigh in on which side of the argument they take, and who they want to make friends with.

The reality is, while it may be true and it is definitely a pressing need that the United States become more self-sufficient and creative in using its own oil reserves – which consists of about 5 percent of the world reserve - for its own domestic use, this doesn’t change the fact that internationally other non-oil producing countries will be turning to the other well known oil producing nations to feed the demand these up-and-coming countries require.

And the reality is that as these up-and-coming countries and their political leaders try to sustain and provide new amenities to their people and their populace becomes more demanding for energy, and oil – these same politicians and despots will be influenced by the politics or agendas of these oil-producing nations. It is very, in fact predictably, likely that these countries will adopt anti-American stances which the oil-producing nations may demand of them.

Here are the approximate oil reserves of the world with Saudi Arabia 24 percent, Canada 13 percent, Iraq 10 percent, Iran 10 percent, Kuwait 9 percent, United Arab Emirates 9 percent, Russia 9 percent, Venezuela 8 percent, Indonesia 5 percent, USA 5 percent (not including oil shale), Mexico 5 percent, Norway 5 percent, Nigeria 2 percent, Libya 2 percent, China 2 percent, Kazakhstan 2 percent, Algeria 2 percent. That adds up to more than 100% - these numbers simply indicate the balance of reserves.

The fact is, oil will also become increasingly more scarce – not to say that the commodity is going to dry up, but as this demand increases and reserves are depleted, by 2030 there is no doubt that there will be a notable impact Geo-Politically. Just at a time when indicators are there is a likelihood of major wars during the next 20 years.

So here are the facts, as the Republicans take power in House, and perhaps the Senate and Executive into the next four years. The facts are, we are going to see the politics of nations which are weak in principles but which are entering the modern age of consumer demand, whose politicians will probably put on the robes of anti-American Geo-Speak and may even start to harbor the very enemies of the Western world including Islamic terrorism. For those nations which do so, the benefits will be short lived, the negative consequences to their own people and their economies as wars increase, as instability increases, will be great in the long term but they will not understand that. They will only live for the demand of the day, and make many, many mistakes.

It really doesn’t matter if it is the Democrats, Republicans, the Socialists, whoever is in power in the United States – this will be the reality.

Since it looks like it will be the Republicans – and thank God for that considering the threat – the reality must be made that America will be looking at an increasing number of nations who will turn against us first in words, and later perhaps in deeds.

We see oil in the hands of those who do not share our interests, and are proably against us. We only see Canada as a "friend", but I would not count any of the others as so, and sometimes I really question if Canada is a friend at all or simply light in the head. What is the course of action?

We need to build nuclear and coal powered power plants and exploit all of the oil reserves we have access too. Taking the “oil bomb” away from the Islamic world is just as important as preventing them from getting the atomic bomb.

Also, turning the oil screws is not going to make the Muslim world more popular with those it seeks to victimize. We must work to maximize that ill will. OPEC must be destroyed. It is, and always has been, a conspiracy against the prosperity and stability of the world. One sinister conspiracy is NOT just a theory.

“Using a geology-based assessment methodology, the U.S. Geological Survey estimated a total of 1.32 trillion barrels of oil in place in 18 oil shale zones in the Eocene Green River Formation in the Uinta Basin, Utah and Colorado.”
