You have to EARN the right to play the ranked teams...and playing nobodys all year just won’t get them there...they are going to have to schedule the big boys for their non-conference games.
BUT, having tough schedules can also knock a team out of the running. Bama plays 6 top twenty teams this year and ONE loss is likely to cost them a shot.
PLAYOFFS...PLAYOFFS..PLAYOFFS...that is the ONLY way to be fair to those who play tough and easy schedules.
