I’m in agreement. Forty plus years in HVAC going back to cast iron compressors. Low R-22 most common.

I use servicemagic.com which is a free referral service where you usually get three HVAC guys. Have three separate people come out and give you an estimate. That will assure you that you aren’t getting taken.
